Yesterday was a shitty day!

Yesterday, I sat on a bench at the metrostation, waiting on my girlfriend. She called me and told me she was two hours late. I decided to wait for her at the metro, so I played games on my iPhone and listened to music. After sitting there for about one hour, a person walks up to me and showed me an ID Card. He was an undercover police officer. He asked me kindly if I could come with him to his office. Since I hadn't done anything wrong, I said yes. I came into a white room with three police officers. The biggest of them said: "turn against the wall and spread ypur arms and legs. We have recieved a phone call about a guy that fits your description, carrying a gun. We will now do a full body search." I had to strip down to my underwear, and the whole thing ended with an apology for arresting the wrong person...

I went back to the bench and waited on my girlfriend. 10 minutes later, she called me, telling me that she didn't reach the last train. That was sad, because now I don't get to see her for two months.

I took the metro back to the military camp I'm stationed at. While sitting on the metro, I recieved a phonecall from a good friend of mine, back home. He told me that a long time friend of us had died in a car accident. A drunk driver came over in the wrong direction on the highway and front collided with my friend. My friend was killed, and the drunk bastard survived with minor injuries... Why does things like this happen?! A similar thing happened to me last year, and the judge gave the drunk driver one year in prison... It's not fair!!!

There will also be a day after tomorrow, and it will be worse.

I'm afraid the term 'fair' isn't in the set of rules describing the universe we live in.
We all get some sunshine and some rain. In the end, how happy you were with your life has a lot to do with how you deal with both.

sorry to hear about your bad day and friend.  These things come in threes...the search...the girlfriend..and your buddy.  Good luck should start coming your way.

Look in the bright side...at least the tip was not about a guy that fits your description that was smuggleing drugs...or that search could have been much more "intimate." :o :o :o :o :o :o

Sorry man, that sucks!

I buy you a virtual beer:

I'd buy you a real one if I was there.

Not good to hear of your friend passing away - condolences.

In Australia, your typical Aussie guy when approached by a couple of Police to accompany them for a frisk search would have raised hell.

Agree that bad news comes in threes, so you should have some good luck for a while now...

That's really a shit day, mate! Sorry for you!!!

I've a big HATE for these suckers who drunk a lot and drive... Hope the idiot get his arse on jail for a while!!! Won't bring the friend back, but perhaps make the guy think how idiot he is and maybe he does something good for society, paying back...

Hope they release you to go to the funeral and things get better!

+1.

Hope the army grants you a leave pass for the day, so you can attend...  Take care.

Sorry to hear of your trouble, but I'll touch on this.....

First of all, they were fishing.  If they had some reasonable suspicion of a specific crime, you would have been not "asked", but instead, forcefully taken, especially if there was reported to be a gun involved.  Secondly, they needn't do a full body search for a gun.  A simple wand or pat down will do.

What really happened - is you were observed, and profiled into a category that was likely to be buying or selling drugs.  They gave you bait, you took it, then they had you out of view to do their little search job.

This would not fly in the United States of America.  If anyone fought that, there would be some repercussions legally... so at the slightest resistance on your part, the cops would withdraw unless.... they thought they had a really good case, but aparantly, this is not what they had.

Cant say the law where you come from - but you might have legal recourse against them.

Thanks!
The Captain told me to take a week off. So I'm now heading home.
