LSR is for straight peghead with straight string pull only.
I'd have to agree wit tfarny, no need for the roller nut with a hardtail. I'd say skip the earvana and just go with a Tusq graphite nut and a bar retainer. :icon_thumright:tfarny said:It might look slightly weird, but I'd put a couple of little barrel retainers for the middle four strings. That should solve your problem, which is a bigger one than just looks. As as far as the string trees negating the advantage of the nut, well it's got locking tuners and a hardtail so the roller nut isn't really necessary anyhow. Just put a bit of graphite under the barrels and you'll be fine.
Good luck with the earvana, I'd buy warmoth's corian version but not the company's version.
Well even if you don't change the nut, I'd still recommend a bar retainer...Just for good measure... :icon_biggrin:T50 said:Thanks for the help, guys!ccasion14:
I just solved the problem. There's a tiny interior space behind each ball bearing
just above the black rubber (either side of the string). I measured the space and
cut a small piece out of a thick black pick. Inserted the piece into the space (only on the side
where the string slips to), and it's keeping the string in place even with heavy bending. :hello2:

if i had joined the forum. I also read through the "tips and tricks" posts and learned a lot
about putting together a guitar. So thank you all!

So far, I like them better than other 18:1 tuners I've been using: Grovers, and Sperzel.
It turns butter smooth and steady allowing precise tuning. I also like the size. These
are smaller than the Grovers 3X3 tuners... less crowded in the back of the headstock.
Plus, the buttons are cool!!!

Yes, it's the normal flame maple neck. As Tonar said, the flame is more intense in person.
