Just a quickie review.  Found a pair of Sheptone Tributes that I thought I'd try in my mahogany-body guitar.  It has maple neck and ebony board and is my "try out pickups" guitar.

I have to say that I'm quite pleased.  These definitely have the classic rock vibe and are very nicely balanced.  They have a honky but sweet musical kind of flavor that I really like and are not harsh at all.  I am becoming very fond of lower output pickups and these are 7.8 in the neck and 8.1 in the bridge, so are squarely in the PAF range.  I would recommend them if you like your humbuckers with the kind of character that translates well to blues and classic rock.  They got me playing that guitar a lot more, and thats the point isn't it?

On another note, did anyone notice that someone is trying to sell a pair of Roadhouse humbuckers for almost $400 on ebay….

Wow! I'm glad I saw this. That's quite a bit of duggets! They might be "collectors" items now since I no longer make that model.

Edit* I've edited the content of my message. I was concerned about this listing but have resolved it after looking into it. Not too long ago one of my customers had his pickups stolen from his mailbox so I have been keeping an eye out for listings such a this. This listing is legit. -Ken

One of my guitars has a roadhouse humbucker and I love it but it will be interesting to see what the market will bear…

Oh, and the 65s in my strat will never leave that guitar….ever.  Thanks Ken.
