Would someone tell me how my VIP is constructed?

I've never known exactly whats going on here, I am not the original owner. I know the one side with the F-holes  is obviously chambered, and I can see a center block. Is the other side chambered? How to they put on the arch-top?
Is it similar to PRS the way they do it on the C-24? Is it like the Mid-Town Gibson? How is it different in the way the top of a ES-335 is made?
Do they make solid body VIP's too? Do they make 1/2 solid half chambered?
Inquiring minds want to know, and yes, I've done google searches. :icon_scratch:

I can't say for positive, but possibly it's done the same way they do the carved top / hollow bodies. Removing the control cavity cover should allow you to see if the other side is hollowed.

The hollow VIPs are made the same way Warmoth make their Thinline Teles. The back is made from a solid blank with large 'hogged out' chambers on both sides. The top is flat on the back, so it's carved, not arched - the same as the top on a Les Paul etc.

VIPs can be solid, chambered (multiple small chambers) or hollow. They don't offer half hollow, but might do so as a custom order.

You already got some good replies but think this:
Solid body guitar massively routed out from the top. Then a different piece of wood is affixed to the top of it. It could be carved or flat.

This is more like a Midtown.  Don’t know how the PRS is done as I haven’t researched. By no means is it like a 335 where a top and separate back are affixed yet to 2 sides. In the process of a 335, yet another piece of wood is affixed in for a center block before it’s all done.
