Workshop Stuff

I suppose this is OT even though it's workshop related. I'm tripping over my workshop and decided it's time to put all projects on hold until I get some stuff squared away. I'm in desperate need of a stop system for my miter saw, a router table with a fence, and a real fence for my table saw. Add a few other tools in the mix and yeah, I got a problem.

I ran across this guy's setup and it's growing on me. At first I thought no way that's too big. But the more I watch and look at my issues the more I like it. I have a bench planer too, and getting a huge table support levelled with the planer, miter and table saw is hugely attractive.

This is absolutely brilliant.  This could really go far.
I would envision one with the router table/orbital spindle drum sander, table saw, drill press, and various vise set ups around a table like. this.  Careful planning could incorporate dust collection too.
Got my wheels spinning in my brain...

I like this guy's flip tops better:

They're ingenious and simple with a more positive lock.  Most of these carts I'm finding have itty bitty table saws built in. Mine is an older medium size one. It would dominate such a cart, and needs rear access for occasional belt tension, but it's way small as a standalone top. (And the fence absolutely sucks. Will not hold position)

One thing that bothers me about the first link is that it feels kind of haphazard. Like if you go to modify one day and cut the wrong part, the whole bench might fall apart. It sort of feels spitballed together. cut this out and reinforce. I do like a frame.

Also, my shop is way small and ummm well,  it's not all my stuff in there. So I want the ability to wheel mine out into the gravel drive, which I suspect means 6-8" pneumatic or flat free tires and not 4" hard rubber casters. I don't think levelling is absolutely critical for most operations as long as it's not obviously falling off, but corner jacks might be ticket for both locking and levelling.
