Ken just shipped my Roadhouse neck humbucker and I'm psyched, just sayin'

you may go back to what you were doing......

Got the Triple Crown Ken suggested and stuck her in there today. I gotta say that's it's exactly what I was looking for.  Hmmm. Adjectives...balanced, extremely clear and articulate,  very responsive and versatile.  When I first plugged in I thought it was really bright, but that's not it .  It just so clear that it seems that way.  No harshness either, and it's in a mahogany body/maple and ebony fretboard guitar.  It also has a nice smooth character with chords but you can really hear every note, particularly the bass notes.

So I'm very pleased.  I wanted a neck humbucker that had more clarity than the one I had and could bring out that bass side of chords, and this fits the bill very well. Nice job Ken, and thank you.  It's a blast.

Bridge is a dimarzio AT1 and it works well with it. They have a different vibe goin on but that's what I like.  I think I finally found the combo that really fits this guitar well, so I think I can finally call this one DONE. :)

Very raw and quickly done with my iPhone.

Just the neck humbucker with volume and tone at ten.  No editing, I just want to get the balanced and clear sound across.  No rhyme or reason to the playing either, just, as I said, a quickie...

Theres another file of a moderate gain example, same way.

Wow, that sounds great, especially for a phone. Nice lick in the other bluesy"gain" clip too.

It's amazing what you can do with today's phones. It's scaring the hell out of Microsoft, who can't get a portable OS worth spit to gain any acceptance in the marketplace. The shift away from desktops by the general population means less sales of their bloated over-priced thing. What's it called? Doorways? Portals? Skylights? Openings?

Yeah, was never a Microsoft fan.  I am, however a fan of what I can do now with my phone and some apps.  Theres really some cool technology coming out consistently for iPhone and iPad that sounds great.  The most expensive part of it all is a great set of headphones, which we all should have anyways...

It's not surprising to find that many people were never Microsoft fans, now that there are some viable alternatives. Used to be they could say "eat it and smile". Now more and more people are saying "bite me".

Speaking of M$ the clip wouldn't play for me using Chrome browser (my regular browser). Had to load it in IE.

I like that sound a lot. Clean and bluesy at the same time.
