need help...I need to know how to wire 3 humbuckers, each with its own on/off switch and volume knob.  Not tone knobs here.

The guitar is a Charvel model 4.  I replaced with pickups with a Dimarzion Evo, Duncan JB jr, and Duncan little 59.

it looks like this and I want to incorporate the stock switches...Thanks

There are two ways to do this. One way is with the wiper terminals wired as inputs, allowing you to blend the pickups at different volumes. The disadvantage is that the pots will vary the input impedance against each pickup coil when adjusted. This loading effect means the tone may be inconsistent across the volume pot's range. The other way is to wire the wiper terminals as outputs, so that the pickups see a more constant resistive load, regardless of the volume setting. The disadvantage is that if you roll too many volume pots down too far, you will mute the output, since the total output impedance is controlled by each pot.

If you want to do it the independent volumes way, I have a diagram for that, if you just omit the tone pot shown.

I don't believe I've done a diagram for the other way yet, but I can draw one up if you want to go about that way.

I think I want the second way.  I doubt I will do too much blending.  The let me get back.  I also want to supply a shot of the switches...they only have two terminals each...

That would indicate SPST On/Off. That's fine for this application.

Thanks.  I am really up in the air.  What are your thoughts on the best scenario for a three humbucker, three knob set up?  Should I go master volume with two tone?  The electronics on this guitar have not worked for some time.  I am up for anything.

You are the master...

BTW...I got the covers...awesome.
Thanks.

Glad they arrived safely.

I would personally opt for the simplest and most practical setup, which for me, would be three switches and one volume and tone. However, that leaves the third pot unused. Some people are happy with "dummy pots," because then you get a knob to tweak when someone complains about your tone. :icon_jokercolor: Otherwise, you could still put it to use as a bass cut control or something. Doing two tones is an option. Just remember that either tone control will affect all audible pickups when more than one pickup is selected.

make it so.  I like the idea of a dummy.  I can call it the "talent" knob.  Fix it so it never stops spinning. :laughing8: :laughing8: :laughing8:

my bad...the switches have three terminals.
the ones on the left and right are marked with "ON", the one in the middle is marked with a "-"
