Why no binding on vintage pro necks?? I need it!

Hi, I'm new here.

Was wonder if there was a reason warmoth doesn't offer binding on vintage pro and total vintage necks, is there a reason, or is it just the way they do business? I would defiantly love this option and it's the only thing holding me back from spending over a grand on guitar project with warmoth. Plus, I'd probably do many more in the future.

Anyone ever have any luck getting them to do it?

Have you rang Warmoth up and asked them why this is so, Professor?

They may have a very good reason for not offering binding on Total Vintage necks. No such thing as a Vintage Pro in Warmoth's neck lineup......

Give some and an inch, they want a mile, lol.  Atleast they do binding on something.  My guess would be that it has something to do with the construction.  Every Warmoth Pro is a 2 piece neck regardless of the wood type.  The Vintage and Vintage Modern can be one piece and 2 piece, so the restriction and confusion and ensuing explanation would get...er...exhausting....if that's the case.

Well, its the option suggestion sub forum so Im posting options I'd like to see, yay!

Maybe it's the construction, or maybe it's incentive to get people buying their most expensive necks? Maybe a warmoth employee can post on this thread and sort this whole thing out!  :icon_thumright:

Btw id rather have a vintage modern neck because of the design not the price.

If you look at the neck pricing, you'll see the prices are the same across Warmoth Pro, Vintage Modern and Total Vintage.

The Warmoth Pro necks use a thicker fingerboard (.25) and better matches the binding material.  Both Vintage Modern and Total Vintage are thinner (.20).  That additional thickness also give more surface area for the glue to adhere and keep the binding nice and stable.

As always, if you're look for an official answer, best to call or email sales.
