why my warmoth flame neck like this

Fretwire choice is up to you, no right or wrong I think.

kwm488: If you are a genuine new poster, please view these cynical observations with some understanding that I, and probably others, are having a hard time understanding why these questions, after the fact. The fret question, for example, comes after you have bought the neck and judging by the photos on Page 2, the frets are already installed. The questions about the 5A quality comes (and whether you could get a really flamey maple on 5A) after you purchased the neck on Showcase. The question about price came after the purchase too. You have also changed yopur mind about your feelings towards this neck a fair bit if one is to read the Thread. IF on the other hand, you are a regular poster having a bit of fun, well, the fun is finished - can we resume normal programming and knock this charade off?

It now doesn't matter what anyone else thinks, the frets are IN and you either like them or not...

If the neck isn't for you, put it on EBay and see what you can get for it, but be aware that your own DIY finish has probably made it lose a lot of value. It would have been better to have Warmoth do it for you, unless you are in the 'Tonar' class of expertise with finishing..

Why would a DIY finish make a neck lose value?  Tonar isn't the only person in the world who can apply a finish you know (Not taking anything from Tonar, but C'MON!!!!!)  Also, I would think that a poorly finished neck that is unplayed would be worth way more than a professionally finished neck with worn out frets....... People keep saying about the humidity and atmospheric changes that this neck endured, I would think that if the humidity is so darn terrible on maple, that ANY finish good or bad would be 1000 times better than no finish at all.  So, really, the neck should be worth MORE, as it is now protected from the elements.  Don't always believe what a company says about their product.  I think Warmoth warns about twisting maple necks cause it is a worse case scenario.......  I don't really think they are effected that much....... I have had several unfinished maple necks in my day, in western Penna, an area where the humidity changes incredibly throughout the year, meaning it's super, super dry in the winter (don't wear socks in a house with carpeting unless you like shocking yourself every time you touch metal) and to the humidity being that of your average shower in the summer, and I've never had one go the way of a bavrian treat!!!!!

I get the horrible feeling that we have been poking fun at somebody because of a language issue, and being as international a bunch as we are that should not have happened.
Kwm488, I'm curious why you spent a lot of money on a neck without doing more research. You could have asked questions about the showcase, about the amount of flame, about the FB radius or about the fret size, both here on the forum or with a small email to the Warmoth sales staff before buying the neck. It would have made your purchase much more fun because you would have been confident that you were getting what you wanted.
Things are done, so I suggest we try to be as helpful as we can be. You asked how to remove the spray paint from the frets. There are basically two ways. The first is to mask off the fretboard (use the blue masking tape that is less sticky) and use very fine steel wool on the frets. The second is to just leave it on. As soon as you play the paint will come off.

:icon_thumright: +1 on all counts.  Although I remember most all of the words, if I write something in German, my grammar in that language will be pretty stilted as well....
+1 Absolutely and try German with a computer translator. I had people laughing really hard. Alot like this:

I work for a German company. This is obligatory viewing for all of us.
Well, no. But it nearly killed me the first time that I saw it, and I still love it. He comes so close to getting it right. So close, and so completetely wrong.
