hi
i have order this. i like the back flame neck, but i don't like the fingerboard wood grain.

i know warmoth need to cut the fingerboard in the wood and install the truss rod. but can they use the same piece of wood to be a fingerboard?
so the back and the fingerboard fame and grain almost the same.

and is this neck 3A or 5A?

it is cost $372. is it worth? because i plan to return . i plan to order 5A flame maple neck

please give me idea

i get headeache

That's an amazing neck, you'd be crazy to return it.

There are and have been one-piece flame maple necks in the Showcase, but I just looked and there's nothing spectacular right now.

You're going to get the skunk stripe on the rear regardless of whether the neck is one piece or not.

The Maple/Maple Vintage and Vintage Modern are one piece, but the skunk stripe has to be there to install the truss rod.  The Warmoth Pro doesn't need the skunk stripe because the truss rod is installed before the fretboard is glued on.  So a  one piece neck with no skunk stripe ain't gonna happen.  As far as matching fretboards, don't know.  Your neck still has a lot of figure.

thank everyone give me a lot suggestion.

i really can't make decision about return or not.

because i try my friend vintage modern whole rosewood neck, which is also 10-16 radius and 1 11/16 nut width. but i think it is too width for me. and i used to play fender american standard strat. i think 9.5 radius is better.

can anyone give me suggestion about 10-16 radius and the 1 5/8 and 1 11/16 nut width?

This sounds like a scam

How the "H" did you get a neck so far from what you wanted?  How could you order from the showcase and not get what you want?  or how could you call up and tell them what you want and get that?

And your cold war english is suspect to me as well,  Somethings rotten in denmark.    (Dear lord I'd like to appologize if I offended anyone)

Oh By der way, I give a 150 bucks for it, cash, send it to me  :toothy10:

You know I was thinking the same... apart from the denmark comment lol...

Sounded a bit kgb-esq

Doesn't sound like a scam to me.  The flame - more like figure - on the fretboard isn't consistent or even similar to the neck.  Sounds like it's not what he ordered, and I don't believe it was a showcase piece.  As far as the skunk stripe vs. lack of one pieced-ness, that's not Ws fault.  That's how they make em'.  If it hasn't been altered and is in re-sellable conditon, return it.  That neck will sell.

The pics he posted are clearly Showcase pics with a typical stock number no longer in the Showcase. I never noticed that one (have too many unfinished projects to need to spend a lot of time on the Showcase) but would be tempted to buy that should it get returned.

hi
i buy it in warmoth showcase. because i am newbie on warmoth guitar. i see the photo, and the flame is pretty . so i bought it. but after i bought it, i think this item no showcase price.
i pay the custom order price to get showcase neck. this is a reason that i want to return it and get a custom order.

i hope to olrder 5A flame maple neck, i wish the back and the fingerboard flame pattern is near.

have any people have custom order the flame maple neck and the fingerboard and the neck also have near pattern. do you mind to show the pic

thank

If you've got the showcase pictures right there, how did you buy it without knowing that's what it would look like?

Makes me sad to think a neck like that should wind up with such a j**k. But I do look forward to reading his post when he buys the body he didn't want. The post after that I bet he'll be off about sueing W because they don't mention the neck and the body don't auto-assemble themselves.

So I guess nobody has ever had buyer's remorse before? Maybe he prematurely pulled the trigger. He bought something and decided he didn't want it. What the eff is the big deal? Why would you assume he's a jerk and sue happy and would return a body. Just because he's new doesn't mean you need to shit on him. You might think he's a jerk but I think you are a dick.
