I have BB pro's in my '04 LP and they have that vintage flavor, but are overall a little brighter with better high end separation than my friends 69 LP.    I understand that Tx/BBQ are hotter than BB's and more mid-rangy, but I honestly haven't played a set through my home setup for direct comparison.

If I was the proud owner of that body, Id go with the RG's.  Too many people (that I seriously respect their opinion) rave about them.

I voted for the RGs; note that there is an alternate set you can get that's not quite as high output, that's a BuffaloBucker for neck and TX for bridge. Warmoth doesn't stock the BuffaloBuckers, but you can order direct from RG. TX/BBQ output is 9.0K/12.5K, BuffaloBucker is 8.0K

I just measured my BB Pros so you could compare against Jack's set.  7.7k neck and 8.2k bridge.

Wow, those are quite hot.  The BurstBuckers are standard PAF numbers, of course (thanks blue313).  I'm a little concerned about the lack of wax potting on the BurstBuckers, though... plus reviews seem mixed.  RG reviews are all awesome, though...

FWIW, I've got a single Rio Geniune Texas Bucker, and it sounds friggin incredible.  It is lower output than the TX?BBQ.  Check them out!

TX/BBQ = Genuine Texas + Barbeque Bucker, unless I'm mistaken...
