Who remember this ?

The early 60s SG shaped Les Paul Jr. seem surprisingly affordable, relatively speaking, or maybe that's because they all seem to have cracked/broken necks.

Maybe a neck through body, a bit like a Ricky 620/660, 25.5" scale, no-load tone pot, maple fretboard with white pearl inlay, a bit like those Walnut Rickenbackers, a Gibson sized, but Epiphone shaped headstock, just to irritate the Gibson purists.  :evil4:

And a volute.  :laughing7:

Sorry, getting ahead of myself..  :occasion14:

There was a very short period of time where warmoth offered Rick shaped bodies.  They even advertised them in guitar player.  Of course sometime during the time it took me to pick up the phone after seeing the ad the Rickenbacker legal dept did their work.  All I got on the phone was a very sad sounding "sorry.  We can't sell that <sniff>"

Hey Aaron!  Any of those rick bodes still in the back room?  I'll take them - all of them.  I won't tell - promise!!

If an L5S body ever showed up again, I would jump on it.

It's gotten bad enough that I've started looking at used L6 solid bodies.

Bernhard Potschka, the guitarist in Spliff, Nina Hagen's backing band, had (or still has?) a L5S, that's probably worth a pretty penny these days:
