Had rehearsal yesterday and today with two different projects, hearsing two more times this week before a gig on saturday. Mostly acoustic stuff but I brought along the Hagström today and usually I do some looping + soloing every day for my own amusement. It felt really strange to play stuff on the electric that I've only played acoustically before - the string spacing is x1,5 on the acoustic compared to the electric.

I just strummed some with my Les Paul unplugged, and practiced some RHCP songs.  Some of them are tough... the tabs don't do them justice, that's for sure.

Side note, my cat just sneezed on me.  It was gross.

Didn't get the chance to jam today...I was spending too much time prepping the BBQ and making the macaroni salad.  But I played yesterday.  :laughing7:

Mmmmmmmmmm, BBQ......That's what I'm talking about...... :laughing7:

Drove my mom's car into a 10 foot ditch, but yeah. I did play guitar (Not while driving! I've seen about 3 or 4 cars in that same ditch before...)

(ps... NEVER drive a car into a 10 foot ditch on Memorial day)

I had a gig Sat. Night, went to a blues jam last night, went to the movies today, got a gig tomorrow night.  The yard kind of needs mowing too.  Don't think I'm gonna do that.

There ya go, and it was a BBQ to top all BBQs I ever did.  Rosemary lamb chops, beef ribs, chicken sausage, bacon-wrapped tuna steaks, and veggie kabobs (yellow and red bell peppers, red onions, jalapenos, mushrooms, zucchini).  The macaroni salad was the most rockin' I ever made, as well.  :icon_thumright:

Ha! I was BBQ-ing too!!
the problem was that my bone in Ribe-eye was so frickin huge, I couldn't even get to the burgers and bratwurststs ts
still great though!

I worked, cause I'm a sucker.  This evening, though, we had the first official family band practice.  Both of my young boys want to play drums, so there was a big fight about that.  My wife is starting to play bass again after a long period of not playing bass.  We played the worlds worst version of "No Fun" by The Stooges.  My favorite part was when my younger son (5 years old) yelled "guitar solo!!!"  over the din.  I had to oblige with a random, fuzzy, wah soaked pentatonic fest that would have made the late Scott Asheton proud.  Warmoth Tele was the weapon of choice.

thats cool, my daughter plays piano and french horn, we don't play together much but when we do it's super fun..

Played a gig last Friday for 3 hours all original used an electric acoustic and my 96 G&L ASAT
Saturday was travelling to get home

Sunday 3 hours on the Strat through my new vox VT 30

Monday 4 hours song writing for a new cd on the resonator

Tuesday as above + stripped my danelctro

Today back on the resonator for a few hours and looking in the showcase for a new guitar body  :toothy12:

Got a gig on this coming Friday, so I loaded an mp3 player with band practice recordings of the songs in the setlist for the gig.

Then I plugged the mp3 player into my Line 6 Spider III (a recent aquisition, and great little practice amp), grabbed my Double F holed p90 loaded thinline and played through 'em all.  TWICE!
