Which mounting rings for VIP

Is the curved humbucker mounting ring the only one that will fit this body shape or will the metal humbucker mounting ring work as well?

The top of this particular body is flatter than an LP so the straight rings work well. The metal humbucker rings are my favorite because you can bend them to be a perfect fit and they never break.
