The other guitarist in my cover band showed up at rehearsal yesterday with his Washburn that has an 81/85 combo. Played it through his Flextone III combo and sounded great playing classic rock from the 1970s, 1980s, and recent songs from the 1990s and 2000s. I was rockin' Felix The Strat with my Duncans (Custom bridge, Jazz neck) wired PRS-style.
