What pickups??

Hey, so im thinking about mixing a music man bridge pickup with a regular single coil neck. I'm using the single coil neck because I want a pickguard and all the pickguards only fit single coils. Here are my questions

1. Is a single Music Man neck pickup good?

2. Will mixing a Music Man bridge and single coil neck be good? or should i just get a neck and bridge single coils?

3. Does Warmoth customize pickguards? Like can they make a Fender J Bass pickguard that a Music Man pickup can fit into?

They don't appear to have a detailed pickup routing chart for bass pickguards like they do for guitars, but I know you can always OMIT any pickup route.

Still working on my first bass, let the bass players answer the other questions, but I would point out that having 2 different pickup types to give you the versatility of more than one sound/tone is never a bad idea...
