Why is this still available??

I'd JUMP on this if I could.  I can't stop looking at it.

What's wrong with me is I've absorbed the cost of two interstate moves in a year, plus substantial child support, plus I live in the most expensive part of the country that isn't Manhattan.  So someone else is getting that sexxxy-ass body.  I'll have to wait for another time.

But I have to compliment your taste, Frank.  What are you waiting for?

So you're saaaaying there's a chance!  :icon_biggrin:

Haha, I can empathize with you on some aspects of that.  I think Cagey snatched up the one I was eyeballing, but sadly I'll have to put a new build on hold until I sell of some unused gear.  The cycle continues and Tea Burst is now an option I'd consider for once.  I've always been a Tobacco or Black/Yellow guy (and sometimes Brown).

Vile binding colour, vile body shape, not well matched top nor particularly impressive figure, vibrato rout, contoured heel, swamp ash. I mean, if I took another look at it I'm sure I could find more reasons. :icon_biggrin:

I would think a Warmoth or Vortex head would look good. I'm going to put a Warhead on mine.

I was thinking any of those three would probably work, or even a reverse warhead. There doesn't seem to be a lot of images online to reference. Perhaps I may photoshop a couple.

It doesn't seem that the Velocity body is taking off yet. To be honest, I'm not terribly impressed with the design either. But, it's different, and who knows? Somebody will come over here and have to have it. And if not? I'm sure it'll be a lovely thing. Quality always sells. Somebody will fall in love with it. Or, I will and it'll go into the Closet of Misfit Guitars  :laughing7:

I'm digging it in the right finish and spec. Would love a tom bridge on one ideally. I think once people see one set up right, it will catch on. It's a "sum of the parts" piece.

That's sorta how I'm looking at it. Mine's gonna have an Alder body and a roasted Maple neck, and I'm gonna put a set of Bill Lawrence (Wilde) Micro Coils in it. I'm thinking it'll be pretty nice. We'll see. I've got a Strat here to build that's going to get some Micro-coils in it (if they ever show up) so I'll know what to expect before mine ever goes together.

1  :dontknow:  not really into the shape.  :tard:

2 already have a honey burst Les Paul

Thats my 2 reasons not to invest in one.  :icon_biggrin:
Plus the aussie dollar makes that body close to $700 then the shipping.

I only use strat bodies since 99.999% of my guitar playing is done sitting on my couch or bed, and nothing is more comfortable for that than a strat.

Oh brother, I thought the same way until I got a tele with the forearm and gut cuts.

The body shape and trem, and the fact I mostly play bass are the turnoffs.  The binding, color choice, and top are all great.  The comment about the matching of the top, it's a carved top.  The portion closest to the edge is the only point in dispute.  It's also where it is has had the most wood carved away.

Can't wait to see the progression!

I once owned a Deluxe Tele with the contours, but then I realized it didn't sound like a Tele at all, and I've owned five of them.  However, I don't know how much the un-Tele sound of that guitar was due to the body shape.  It may have been due to those SCN pickups.

I would rock it. But I already have 2 in the works. Honestly I would go Tobacco SB on it. So who ever got that one, post some pics when it arrives.
