When I lived in Michigan there was a guy that made guitars out of driftwood he picked up off the shores of Lake Superior.
It's been years but I think he called himself Superior Guitar and was located near Sault St. Marie.
Don't know if he's still around, but he made pretty nice guitars in the late '60's early 70's.
