Well, I am Torn

Barn door is finished, and I will tell you that looks wise she is a jewel, it is everything I thought of when I first came up with the idea,plus more.  I have this board to thank, with out UW I would have never have had the degree of artisan effort or knowledge, and I could have never developed the degree of artistic flair with out the technical help and encouragement I got from both private email, and open discussion that happened here, In the last half year I realized a dream, I actually built a guitar and made it a custom piece deserving a boutique name.

Side note, Scartozi and myself came up with the name Woodshed Custom Guitars, which is basically a name for guitars that look like the wood was more important than a uber finish. the name is open for anyone to use if they do builds like Drift Wood Strat or Barn Door Tele. We even plan a web site for guitars of this genre.

Even though I love Barn door, and let me tell you she sings, those Lollar P 90s are so sweet

I need a TELE style Tele, a raw bad ass guitar that I can get sooooooooooooooo nasty on stage with.  I play the Blues and when I get down it is time to slap face, take names, and leave no prisoners alive. I want a tone that only a Tele gives, Raw tubes cracking with distortion, screw predictable fuzz, I want tubes over heating and denying themselves a bed for the night.

A Buck Owens Clone

or a Tobacco Burst, brown back with maple neck

Now the thing is - which Buck Owens?

1 - silver sparkle tele with black binding
2 - gold sparkle tele with back binding
3 - the USA flag tele.  I forget what binding

Any would be cool.  But if it were me, I'd to silver sparkle w/black binding.  That an a set of lollars (tele lollars) will burn a hole right through what ever joint you'll be playing.

I think the world does not need more flags or burst finishes, but apart from that, yay more guitars! Gold sparkle is beautifully gaudy and a cool contrast to Barn Door.
