Hello
I'm interested in the 2tek bridge for a new Telecaster I'd like to build, but I'm worried about its weight, because I'd like a light guitar.
And I'm even more worried because I can't find any information about its weight anywhere...
A typical modern Tele bridge, including the pickup plate, is about 250-300 grams or 9-10 ounces, and a traditional Tele bridge is about the half of it.
Do you know what is the weight of a 2tek bridge, maybe with its pickup plate too?
I know that installing the 2tek bridge, you remove a little wood from the body, but I suppose it will not make a big difference.
I'm considering also a chambered body, but since I see several comments about the fact that with a hollow body it can be more difficult to cut through a mix (in a modern rock style) I'm not convinced, yet. But this is a matter for another thread... (or maybe the 2tek bridge could compensate for it?!?)
