Weber Speakers vs. Original Counterparts

I'm planning on buying an empty 2x12 cab and filling it with a Celestion Blue and a Jensen C12K or C12Q. The Blue is 15W whereas the C12K is 100W and the C12Q is 35W. They are also more expensive.

I've been looking at the Weber counterparts (Alnico Blue Dog and Ceramic 12F100T) which are both the same wattage and together are about $100 cheaper.

Are these Weber speakers as good as the Celestion and Jensen they replace, or am I better off going with the originals?

Thanks.

Weber makes a good speaker for the price and I've used a lot of them.

But...

To my ears they are not as good as the originals.  Actually, Eminence comes a lot closer for even cheaper.

If you're on a budget and want good tone, I'd choose Eminence over Weber.

+ 1 + 1 and + 1 on the Weber being good (if you get a good one), the orig. best, and the Eminence damn good, a fine fine speaker they are.

The thing I've gotten from Weber, is their QC is all over the place.  I'm taking getting speakers with ripped cones, bent frames, bell covers with screws stripped.  Amp chassis where the lettering wasn't baked (just a smeary mess), long time ago, amp cabinets that were terribly out of size for his own chassis.  When they did good, they did very good.  But it was about 1 in 5 that was good - or put another way, out of all the orders I placed, there was a 80 percent "not quite right/gotta go back" rate.  Not good.
