Hi Folks,

We're in the process of re-working my band's quite dated website.  One of the things that I want to do is to have a section where folks can download songs for a minimal charge, say a buck.  Anybody have any experience with e-comm and what my options are?

Thanks!

P.S., the old site is here:  www.efarmrocks.com

Spotify seems like a good way to get exposure, but I don't know how it works in practice. Possibly you need to set up a record company of some kind which may be too much of a hassle... But I sort of like the idea, non-member though I am.

Have you checked out CD baby? They distribute music for unsigned bands onto itunes, etc., and also carry your album (available by mail order). If you don't want to spend your time learning e-commerce, they seem like the way to go. As far as I know they're legit, they take about a 10% cut or something.
