Are we talking about Fender Tele's and Strat's or Warmoth. Because wood / pickup combinations are limited only to the imagination. I have one built "W" Tele with two more in process. None will have single coil pickups. I like them because I like the history associated with the body shape (original solid body) plus the body is incredibly comfortable to play. Additionally so many configurations exist from solid body to thinline to chambered. Seems there is nothing you can't do with them and no music you can't play with them.
