Warning: Squier neck + Warmoth body

As I mentioned on another thread, when I was putting my Squier Bullet neck on my poplar Warmoth body, I noticed that the heel of the Squier was slightly rounder than the pocket on the Warmoth.  So I sanded down the heel to fit better.  Problem is, now I'm having trouble intonating this thing!  I've got the saddles almost all the way to the back of the bridge and it's still a bit sharp.

So just a warning: Squier necks and bodies are not necessarily compatible with Warmoth parts like Fender necks and bodies are!

I buy cheap bodies (like mighty mite, or Hefner, or whatever) because it's hard to mess up on bodies as long as everything fits and aligns, but I always buy Warmoth neck because their neck is durable and very playable. I consider necks far more important than body...
