We are pleased to announce the launch of our re-designed webpage (mostly in the navigation and homepage). If you haven't noticed yet, we've rolled out some big layout and UI changes on the warmoth.com site. We hope you will enjoy the fresh look. If you see anything broken or want to send us praise, PM me or e-mail us at: webmaster@warmoth.com

Keep on Rockin'! :party07:

That is pretty damned slick. Any potentially unsupportive implications  that I might have made in other posts concerning the web dev team are hereby withdrawn and replaced with unalloyed admiration.

I shrunk my browser to a third of my 24" screen, and they scale just fine in Chrome.  Haven't bothered with other browsers yet.

Uh, do please post some pics of that killer "Tele-Strat" shop guitar.
That's quite a killer build! :guitarplayer2:

That's the new Hybrid Strat. Pretty cool, huh?  :headbang1:

Just some observations and suggestions, in no particular order:

1) It would be nice to have the popup for Custom Build, Browse & Buy and Learn buttons be the correct size so we don't have to scroll left or right to see the entire popup page.

2) I like the dropdowns from the new menus along the top. I think it would be good to have a Browse & Buy button under each of the listed options though. For Instance, I click on Guitar Bodies. The dropdown scrolls and Standard Stratocaster is the first on the left with pic and button as a link to the Standard Stratocaster information page. It would be good to see a Browse & Buy button right underneath the first button. Clicking the Browse & Buy button would take me to the In Stock Standard Stratocaster page.

3) Much better cart graphic than before and it's not as intrusive on the pages when I open it. I'd like to see the number of items in my cart though. Maybe you could overlay a counter on the top of the shopping cart basket?

4) I like the Showroom Beta. Nice navigation and the filtering works well. I did notice that in some cases the selections I had made for a filter, Solid for Construction for example, were not remembered when I scrolled that filter open again.

5) I think it would be good to have any options on the bodies already selected when the filter section scrolls open. When I open the Contours filter in the Stratocaster section, I'd expect to see Forearm Contour and Tummy Cut already selected.

6) Here's a good thing: All the searches I did in the old showroom and the Showroom Beta returned the exact same results.  :headbang:

Overall very nice updates to the navigation and organization. Well done.

Now, could you tell the Big W to put an Alder, top rout, contoured heel, Sonic Blue Strat body in the showcase?? PLeasE!!
:laughing3:

I've been drooling over the craftsmanship on the current website design for at least 5-6 years now, and finally took the plunge this year. An improvement isn't going to help my GAS budget.

It's been a great website for Warmoth.

If I could offer anything (as a past owner of a website design firm) I would suggest better mobile capabilities and higher - res photos.

A better support library, and full builds (from your own custom shop) wouldn't kill you either.

Just my $0.02

Much much faster than the old site, But the Diamkndback builder is still misding.

Ok, off topic but related:

I unexpectedly became the owner of a Kindle Fire this past weekend, and I can't access the Unofficial Warmoth Forum.

I get onto the regular Warmoth site ok (though the new stuff is still a little buggy--some random characters appear in headings instead of the standard text that I see from my lap top.)

But when I try to log onto the Unofficial Warmoth Forum I get a message saying: Gone The requested resource / is no longer available on this server and there is no forwarding address.  Please remove all references to this resource.  Additionally, a 500 Internal Server Error error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle this request. Apache Server at unofficialwarmoth.com Port 80

At first I thought I was doing something wrong, but since I have no trouble getting onto any other websites I'm wondering if its a problem on the Warmoth end.

Second all of these! The new site looks great and is a nice update, but there's a few small things like that that could make the navigation simpler. Took me a few minutes to figure out where the "in stock" bodies and necks went.

Overall I think it looks great  :icon_thumright:

Overall, I find it to be much better than the old site. The only thing I regret is that now you have to scroll several times to see all neck/body shapes, while they all appeared in a single page (in a grid layout) before. I appreciate the eye candy — now we see gorgeous finished bodies, but only five of them at a time.

edit: I take that comment back, I found how to access the builder page that show all shapes in a grid. It seems to me that the builder.showcase pages are slightly less accessible than before, the old drop down menu was nice to speed up browsing, now you have to click more to go to the same place. It's not critical though, I guess I'll adjust quickly.

Laggy as all hell in Safari. Runs fine in Firefox, so that's definitely an issue with how the site runs in Safari specifically.

It's also, objectively, more convoluted and slower, but I appreciate that most people think a swanky-looking site is better than a practical one.

Eh. Not a fan, but so long as you don't mess with the body builders (and hurry up with the Hybrid builders), I can stil lget my orders completed so I guess it's 'fine'.

So, when you go to the page for a particular body style, you used to be able to click on a particular laminated top, and see a larger picture of that top.  That doesn't seem to work anymore.

The design idea is very nice,
but I hate the continually scrolling stuff. It's really annoying.
I'd much rather have the choice to scroll when I want that have it continually moving.

It's very laggy on FIOS. My download speed is 21.99 Mbps ... just checked it.
The old site was very VERY quick.

From the look of how things are loading I suspect the images aren't optimized.
(google photoshop image optimization for web)
In some instances the images don't even load on the first try.

That scrolling business is annoying, no doubt. Doesn't add anything so it seems kinda pointless, adding salt to the wound.

Site's kinda slow here, too. Running Firefox on Linux with a cable hookup, so usually everything is pretty snappy.

Otherwise, it's a nice piece of work. Also renders better than the last iteration did.

I just noticed the pop-up frame which appears when you click "Custom build" and "Browse & buy", this is a most welcome addition. It saves an unnecessary page loading, which is a good thing.

I am still a little bit concerned by the lateral scrolling thing in the main menu (Guitar necks - Guitar bodies - etc.), which looks nice, but it really takes away some ease of navigation.
