This was a Showcase body that a customer bought and had finished.  Looks killer and has an amazing vibe about it!  Don't be surprised if you see more pictures like this as there are fantastic projects coming out of the shop regularly.

wow. gorgeous man. i never know exactly what it is, but there's only certain times when i like flame maple tops. this is elegant as hell. sweet

Wyliee,

Is that a one piece top?  I don't see any bookmatching going on, or the split in the middle.

That looks really really good, and I' m not a big LP guy.

I don't know why this just came to mind, but I wish you guys could bind the WGD.  If you ever do bind one, lefty of course, don't even put it in the showcase, I'll buy it.  Don't care if you make it out of a 2X12 and plywood, I'll buy it!!!

But that is a nice one somebody is gonna be really happy with that!!

Can you send the buyer an e-mail insisting she/he post about their build on unofficialwarmoth ASAP? Thanks

Cool!  Is this a new feature on the site now?  Will it be updated daily?  Will there be archives of previous postings?  :)

(update) An RSS or Atom feed of this page would be nice too.

Probably not daily, but we'll see what happens over time.  I would presume the old postings will still be available.

BB, yes that is a one piece top (and back!).

I remember this one unfinished (it was a subject of discussion on this bbs actually).

Turned out mighty fine.  :icon_thumright:

Yes, that IS a one-piece top... totally sick  :headbang1:  Well done Warmoth!

I'm not big on a lot of the 1 piece tops but the figure on this one is nice and straight.  I likey!

I ALMOST bought that body, but I figured, hey, I have SO many les pauls, I don't need one more.

and then when the sale was over, I slapped myself and felt stupid: I always need another les paul! oh well, that singlepiece top will come one day ;) But this finish is really lovely on this top. not what I would've done, but equally nice ;)

The new feature is very very cool, perhaps a note somewhere in the home page of Warmoth saying when it was updated would be cool...

But about the LP:
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

I wanted this body SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO bad!

Tell the guy that bursted that body I said; " :icon_thumright: :icon_thumright: :icon_thumright: :icon_thumright: :icon_thumright: :icon_thumright: :icon_thumright: :icon_thumright: :icon_thumright:"

How about this one?  Another Warmoth Today shot.  No, the photo is not backwards.  This is a lefty V.

Am I wrong to say I hate how assymetrical that flame is? I understand it's a 1-pc top and the flame itself is amazing, but to me that thing would be unstoppable if the left side pattern bookmatched with the right. EDIT: I guess maybe the vertical grains would look a little off if you did bookmatch it... aren't there any straight maple trees?

Maybe I just have a thing for symmetry? I've seen a few Warmoth LPs including a red one that kind of irked me a bit.

By the way the paint job is outstanding. I've been trying to sort out how Warmoth could pull off a lemon drop burst, this doesn't look too far off. Details on paint specs for this one please?

No, I don't think so. I prefer a bookmatched presentation myself. Takes more skill to achieve, and symmetry is more pleasing to my eye. But, that's just me. And apparently you <grin>

Me too, I prefer the bookmatched look. But, with that said, this is a gorgeous guitar so nothing can be taken away from it.

No doubt. Figured woods are great no matter what. There's just something magical about them.

Oh yeah. I think its amazing that wood can look a wrinkled satin sheet like on that V...
