warmoth pickguard for non-warmoth bodies

Warmoth Pickguard on a Squire Strat
It fit the body contours, neck and bridge perfectly, but the holes weren't lined up with the holes in the body.
Also, the bridge Humbucker route was a bit more towards the bridge than the rout in the body.
I had to remove some wood in that area to reposition the pickup to match the route in the pickguard.

I do not call this a flaw of the pickguard, since there is some variation from model to model, especially Fender/Squire stuff.

The pups and controls fit very precice and neat.

how many of you have done this and how well did it fit?

Please be more specific.  What pickguard on what brand and type of body?

There are already warnings on many of the pickguard pages when incompatibilities are known.

oh i thought the warning applied for all pickguards. i am looking for a thinline tele pickguard for a non-warmoth thinline body.

i read thru the various pickguard descriptions and noted that while warmoth states that their standard strat and tele pickguards will fit on american and japanese strats/teles etc, but they categorically state that their pickguards of tele custom, thinline, jazzmaster etc will NOT fit on non-warmoth bodies.

is this because :

1. warmoth tele custom/thinline, jazzmaster bodies have different size dimensions than fender tele custom/thinline, jazzmaster bodies?

2. or is problematic feedback over time from various buyers about this 'fitting' issue forced warmoth tomake such a declaration?

so the ultimate question is : is it a categorical NO or MAYBE (it will fit)?
