Had this baby as a one pickup machine up until a week ago, and now that I've finally got what I wanted on it, I'm considering it complete. Alder body I took from a Fender California Strat I had, and replaced it with this awesome neck. Here are the specs:
Warmoth Pro
Canary Shaft
Ziricote Fretboard
1 11/16" Nut Width, Standard thin
SS6100 (Stainless)
Sperzel
22 frets
10-16" Compound Radius
Mother Of Pearl Dots Inlay
GraphTech Black TUSQ XL
25-1/2 in. Scale
As for the body:
Alder
Seymour Duncan Distortion in Bridge
Seymour Hot Rails Neck in mid/neck
Gotoh VSVG Bridge
Warmoth One Volume One Switch Pickguard
I wired it myself which was daunting. Luckily I have a girlfriend who has a lot of experience with soldering (it's not often that this is the case!) so she directed and constructively criticized my first time wiring a guitar. The neck plays great, very happy with the compound radius, and even happier with the raw canary/ziricote mix. This specific canary neck has more reds/oranges in it than the other canary necked I just got a couple of weeks ago. The pickups' sound are exactly what I wanted from this guitar. I chose the bridge after I saw it on Andy Timmons sig. guitar and I really liked the look, it has treated me well. Generally a hardtail fan myself, but now I have one tremolo-equipped guitar. Very happy with how this turned out. Thank you Warmoth! :rock-on:
