Warmoth finishes?

Aaide from their regular offering, they occasionally offer bodies with one of a kind finish (you can find them in the showcase). Otherwise they state on their custom paint page that they do not accept custom finishing order, so if you really want something special, you'll have to have your body finished by someone else.

the short answer is no.

BUT we do have some folks on here, that do Amazing work.

Go look at some of the work these very talented folks have done over in the

DIY finishing topic, Tonar does Phenomenal work.

Is this about the GAS you got for a solid color "butterscotch" tele? Maybe consider the light yellow they offer on the builder... -will that hit the spot?  :dontknow:

I am imagining what you're looking for to sorta resemble the Fender road-worn tele, minus the road-wear. Maybe the light yellow would nail it... with the help of a single-ply matte black pickguard, of course.

True, but, I have inquired about special finishes that Warmoth has done in the past, and if they're not terribly busy, Warmoth does sometimes re-create these, but it does cost a bit extra.  Basically, it doesn't hurt to ask if you really want it.

He does.  I don't know how much he charges, but I've seen him do both cool classic stuff, as well as interesting new stuff (like that burnt wood thing he did, don't remember how long ago it was, but it was really cool.)

I would advise not going with the cheaper ebay finishers.  I tried that a few years ago. Ended up having the guy just clear-coat it because he couldn't put a stripe on a musiclander.
