Hey guys,
Any idea if there’s a typical time period when Warmoth releases one-offs or Deep Cuts? I’m in the market for a new Strat, but I want something fancy. I’ve got FOMO about buying a new body now if a Deep Cut is just around the corner.

Deep Cuts

I saw somewhere Aaron mentioned redshifter might make an appearance this year.

Aaron said 👉this👈.

And regarding the re-appearance, I think that was about the meadowhawk here.

In the 2025 review video he also talked about a flake finishes from flakes giving possibly making it onto the standard menu.

The Redshifter will almost certainly make an appearance someday. We've still got all the 40th Anni parts, and I'd guess we will also release Redshifter standard parts eventually, but neither is imminent at this time. At least a year or more away is my best guess. There will probably be a few more Meadowhawk releases before you see the Redshifter.

We do have some deep cuts planned in 2026 for Strat replacement bodies, but I can't announce them yet. They are most likely months away, but they are pretty cool.

Teles!!??! Seems there is a FAIR BIT of Tele action in Warmothland... how about dem Diamondbacks, Nomads, and Stars? Give us a lam-top CHAMBERED version of any of those, please...

Ya, we've done plenty of limited runs that include Teles. Working Man, Purple Tribute, etc.

You're probably never gonna see a chambered Nomad, Diamondback, or Star though. The closest I've lobbied for is comfort contours on the Nomad, which would really help with.....comfort, and also reduce the weight somewhat.

Bummed there is no more lam top option on nomads and Vs. Are the universals really too small for them?

In any case I’ve got 4 bodies that have necks coming and need hardware/pickups so I won’t be ordering new bodies in the near future. (But I reserve the right to buy a special run! :))

It's not always just a matter of sheer size. There are other things to consider, such as where the bookmatch seam has to be to end up centered on the body shape. Having specialty lamtops that only work on certain models also makes implementing them on the website much more difficult (I'm referring to Unique Choice here). And often these lamtops end up sitting unsold for years.

After taking everything into consideration, we've made the decision that it's just not worth doing the bigger/weirder shapes that require special lamtops.

Very sensible!!! But it would be awesome to have something like a chambered (and contoured!) Nomad with a swamp ash body and swamp ash top... Doesn't have to be center-seam... heck, a 3-piece with random seams would still work for me...

This would totally not work for me, but I always support more options

Those three shapes plus the Iceman (not to mention any kind of V-shape) already tend to be neck-heavy with solid bodies, chambering will most likely make it worse.

My Kramer Star is about 7.63 lbs and slightly, but noticeably neck-heavy. Any less weight on the body and it would be very annoying.

Not if you install the strap button at the top of the neck pocket on the V-K. ;)

I do still have to get going on the two V-K bodies I grabbed from Showcase over a year and a half ago now....whenever I have the money to actually buy the rest of the parts. Like necks. 😯

Are they the raw mahogany ones?
