Warhead conversion neck on a Fender Tele

Will this work? I want to put a Warhead 24 3/4" conversion neck on a Standard Fender Tele. My only concern is the neck pocket fit. I believe the Warhead neck has a rounded neck block to fit Strats, where the Tele neck block is more square. Looking at various Showcase necks seems to confirm this. I could get a Tele conversion neck, but I really like the Warhead shape. The showcase has a Warhead conversion neck of Mahogany/Rosewood. Now that suits this Gibson player right down to the ground. It's also a Fatback which is what I want. But will it blend?  :laughing7:

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks, Pete

Some facts:

Strat heels will work in Tele pockets, the opposite will not. So, if you have a Tele body, your selection is huge.

Conversion necks work on on standard 25.5" bodies. They convert them. Hence the name.

(unfinished) Strat headstocks from Warmoth can be quickly re-cut to Warheads for $45, so your selection is huge.

If you can't find what you want in the Strat collection in The Showcase, a custom neck with an exotic wood isn't as expensive as you might think when you consider you don't always have to put a finish on it. Plus, they feel much nicer and are delivered much faster.

Every time a Warmoth neck ships without stainless or gold frets, a puppy loses its rear paws.

That is all.

For instance, here's a good replacement for a Rosewood over Mahogany neck...

It's Pau Ferro over Goncalo Alves. Ain't she purty? Should sound close to the same as what you're looking for. Add the upcharge for the Warhead mod and some stainless frets, and you're only at $267 in the box, out the door. Plus, you'll have a super-sexy feeling neck that looks and plays like a dream, wears forever and will be unique amongst your peers.

You're welcome.

Edit: I forgot to put a nut on it. I do my own, so I never think about it. I'm perverted that way. But, if you'd rather they do it, it's another $40. Nobody rides for free. But, that's true of any neck, so it's a wash.

Thats awesome regarding the Strat to Warhead mod, not so awesome about those poor puppies......thanks for the info.

I shall keep on browsing endlessly now.................

I believe you can get a CBS Warhead as well, if you're into that whole pornstar look on the headstock.

Note also that if you have something custom built using exotic woods, you not only save by not having to finish it, you also don't have to pay any upcharge to get a Warhead. You just order it that way up front - there's no extra charge.

If you have concerns about a raw neck, rest assured that you will love one. Before my first one I never in a million years would have thought that was a good idea, but it is. Any major dude will tell you.

And try not to worry too much about the puppies who lose their rear paws. It's the ones who get chosen when somebody orders a pointy headstock you have to feel sorry for. Every time that happens, a puppy gets run through a chipper-shredder and turned into cat food.
