Building a few partscasters, and I know I want to go with a 2-post trem. From what I can tell, I am very interested in:

1 - Wilkinson VS-100 - not sure what the VS-100N means, but that may work as well?

2 - Hipshot Contour

3 - Gotoh EV510TS-FE1 OR the EV510T-FE1 - the way it was explained to me, the T means zinc contoured block, while the TS means steel block - either will probably work for me. The FE means modern saddles instead of vintage and the 1 means 2-post baseplate. At any rate, if you have a high quality Gotoh that might fit the bill, let me know.

4 - I would be open to other 2-post trems that are high quality? Mannmade is one that comes to mind, but shoot me some ideas if you have something I might like.

Thanks!

I don't have any bridges I'm willing to sell right now, but if you haven't drilled post holes in your body yet, you may want to consider a Schaller 3801. Very much like a Wilkie, but with roller saddles. Thing is, they want to see post spacing like a top-mount Floyd, so It's not a direct retro-fit. Nice parts, though.

I have one of those trems Cagey is talking about. I also have a wilk. I like the schaller better. Just feels more solid to me.

Of the Gotohs I would recommend the NS510TS-FE1

http://www.g-gotoh.com/international/?btp_product=ns510t-fe1

The TS is the steel block, and the NS seems to be narrow spacing versus EV which is presumably extra vintage, which may mean the strings are closer to the edge of the fretboard.

The NS seems to be a new prefix but the 510TS-FE1 which seems to be the same is what I have on my Warmoth Strat. They are very good quality trems.

stratamania - good point.  I'm a virgin to building, so just learning about vintage versus narrower trem spacing.  Thanks.
