Been watching it.  Don't know or have any interest in the graphic novel that would help with backstory and character development.  I've thought it enjoyable so far, but wish it wasn't so cliche and poorly acted, though lately the worst actors have been getting killed.

The beginning of season 2 was a bit slow, but it has really picked up in the second half.

Well season 2 is over now, last episode was last night. But ya, started out kinda slow, I was wondering if they were ever going to leave the farm..

Here in Germany the final show doesn't air until this Friday.  We're about 1 week behind the states on most shows.

My bro-in-law is a nerd for the show, he attributes the slow start to a writing staff change.  I can get on board with zombies, but the continuity detail that threw me last season was how Rick went into the CDC in his Sheriff's uniform, ran out of it exploding not in uniform, then had it on again at a later time.  It's possible to have more than one, but one of the campies made a big deal out of cleaning it. Did Daryl ever figure out his gun was stolen?

Ahh, I really enjoyed True Blood, so I will probably like this one too then

I bought a Roku and finally have a netflix account, so I can finally watch all the shows I missed from the beginning!
Joey wants me to watch Breaking Bad and Sons of Anarchy, but his taste can't really be trusted.. :icon_biggrin:

SoA was a great series, but you really have to start from the beginning and follow the story. I understand Breaking Bad was the same way, which is probably why I never followed it - I didn't get into it early on, so I was missing too much backstory.

It probably wouldn't help.  A lot of the characters are either not in the tv show or completely different than they are in the show.  The comics are a lot better than the show in my opinion, one of the best things to come out of comics in the last 20 years.

I guess thats one way for screen actors to get laid off. Instead of a pink slip they just give you a script in which you die.

I thought for sure Carl dropped the gun when the walker that was stuck in the mud got free.  I thought Daryl would then find his gun missing.  Then in the next episode Carl gives the gun to Shane.

If you watch carfully, you see him pick it up as he's getting away.. :icon_biggrin:

Still, crossbow toting Daryl, while picking off zombies with a revolver never thought to himself, "That's strange.  My favorite handgun that was in the very top of my saddle bag, that I sure could use right now, is gone.  Oh well, if there's one I am, it's understanding of people grabbing my things without my permission.  I must have misplaced it though everything I own is on my back or in my saddle bags."
