Congrats Pete! Well deserved recognition for a seriously stand-out axe!

My own superstitious nature prevented me saying it earlier, but now I can say: Heywood, that Caribbean burst is stunning! I dig it.

Wow - my first time picking a winner! Do I get a prize too? Did anyone remember what the booking odds were?

Thanks Verne! I've held off commenting for similar reasons - but I have to say that I really thought your Mustang was favourite to win - even with the Doc's stunning VIP and Heywood's Strat in the running.

Congratulations Pete! Winning best of show, amongst all those beautiful entries, is proof positive of the quality of yours.

Congrats FatPete.  I too thought Verne would pull it off.  Yours was beautiful as well as was Doc's.  Great job everyone.  I knew better than to enter ANYTHING this month.  Heh.  :binkybaby:

Congrats! I was thinking of naming my bass "The Beast," but yours is more worthy of that title.

Congrats, Fat Pete!  I've got to say, I was never a fan of the Diamondback body.  BUT...your build makes it look great!  Well conceptualized and executed.  Bravo, sir, bravo!  :headbang1:

Thanks DocNrock! I know what you mean about the Diamondback, I had my doubts too, but it was there in the showcase, in that finish, calling out to me. I'd already been wondering how a 'batwing' style guard would look, so when the pearloid-bound neck appeared as a screamin' deal it all snapped into place and all resistance crumbled.

Congrates fatpete definitely a sharp looking guitar

Thanks Verne- when I asked my other son which guitars he liked, he said "the blue ones" trying to stay in my good graces.

(he liked yours better when pressed)

I admit I voted for mine, but might not have if it wasn't mine.

Congrats, Pete. What a knockout that one is. You earned that against some very stiff competition.

Congrats Pete.  I see you got a real corner banner already. If you want me to kafibble up another for you I can. I'm probably not changing my template from the lined one. I see it's all grey and smooth now!

AutoBat- like those signature pics.

Man, not only do I feel bad for voting for myself this time around, but now I can't even win least popular guitar of the month  :icon_tongue:

Congrats Pete!  Your guitar literally took my breath away when I saw it.  What pushed me over the top was the anodized tuners, those are absolutely brilliant!

I do have a horse in this race, and it was very difficult.  In the end... let's just say I wouldn't be surprised if my bass gets no votes this month.

I was right, woohoo!

Really, I didn't intend to enter until I saw the other basses -- then it looked like a party that was too much fun to miss out on.
