Thanks everyone. I'm shocked but very happy and honored about the results of this contest. I still haven't taken any photos of the finished guitar in good sunlight yet but I'll post in the Strat gallery when I do. This contest definitely inspires me to do more artistic guitars.
The Tat Strat wouldn't be possible without quality parts. It sounds good without even being plugged in and I think having the all maple body and neck helps the sound travel through the whole guitar better. Everything was easy to assemble right of the box but because of all the custom options, I feel like I built my own guitar rather than assembling a kit if you know what I mean. This guitar was so playable as soon as I put the strings on and made some quick bridge adjustments. So thanks to Warmoth for making me a solid guitar.
Thanks to the guys who run this forum and those who set up the GOM. It's a lot of fun to participate in, and look forward to seeing the photos and voting every month. Thanks to all the forum members who followed my Work in Progress thread (for a year) encouraging my project, and especially to Doug/DangerousR6 for making a nice custom neckplate.
I was really impressed by all the other guitars in this month's GOM - awesome builds by everyone. :hello2:
