Is that good or bad?

My oppinion is that I can play fine with just the side dots, so why should I cover the pretty wood? Though if I was to teach with one of my guitars, I would definitely choose one that had inlays, for the convenience of the student.

Go fretless then.  Why cover the pretty wood with frets?  :icon_jokercolor:

Thanks for the compliments on my guitar.  I appreciate it.  I also understand the comment on the Roland pickup being bulky and ugly but it is only temp mounted.  I didn't take time to redo my pictures after I saw the competition. 

This is my first Warmoth but my second submission to GOM.  Two months ago I submitted my second build as I thought it came out even better.  However, it got one vote (guess who's vote that was :laughing7  Oh well, not doing it for the votes are we?  Good luck to all.

I'm starting to think people actually HATE breathakingly gorgeous figured wood. I can't believe that absolutely stunning piece of Koa didn't win (though I don't dig the headstock) - not only that but that there wasn't any wider distribution of votes..

Nonsense. It's just that sometimes you want some bling and sometimes you want some class. Sometimes you want a work of art and sometimes you want working art. They all have their place.
