Volume pot w/detent, advice on single HB

For my current project, I'm looking at building a single HB solid body with a very high output pickup (Carvin M22SD) and a single volume pot.  I'd really like to have a single volume control with a center detent, so that I can have a de facto "boost" option if I switch from mid-volume to full.  Can I use any pot w/a detent, or is there some special option if I'm wanting to do this?  Recommendations? Links to dealers?  I've found a few wiring diagrams, and I'm quite sure I can do it, but would the detent volume pot change how the wiring would be done?

I'm kind of a electronics noob, so any additional/peripheral advice/thoughts is welcome.

might have a hard time finding an audio taper 500k or 1meg with a detent but i dont think you need to do anything odd.
