Vintage 2-Hole Strat Tremolo vs American Standard?

well, I haven't been around in a long while but just noticed that the vintage 2-hole trem has been discontinued on W's site. I have a body that was drilled for one but haven't had the $ to finish it til now. W says in the specs that the American Standard trem is similar to the vintage 2-hole, will the AS posts match? (I'm assuming the rest of the bridge will fit just fine). I hope so, my fall-back bridge has also been discontinued :laughing11:

The 2-hole vintage was "screw to wood" mounted; the Am. Std. has studs; it would seem from looking at the diagrams that you could make it work, but will need to ream out the pilot holes for the screws large enough for the studs.
