I have place my order for 2 guitar , one tele and one Stratocaster,  and my credit card has been charged, but I very despondent on your company's very slow email reply time, for only a few  inquiries ,take a week , but still not finish reply , and not proceed my order yet .

"We" are not actually Warmoth, although, this is a pretty good - VERY good place to find out if other people are having an exact-same problem, as Warmoth does pay attention to things that go wrong more than once. But they're a funny company, in some ways. If you want fast information, calling them on the phone is by far the best way to get it. On the other hand, there may be certain questions where you'd rather they ask around a bit. I work in a field where there can be NO typos or approximations, and e-mail is great that way. But if you've sent them a few that don't have a poundingly-urgent NEED for them to answer - poundingly-urgent from their point of view - it's easiest to just call them.

They try pretty hard to NOT be just a "black box", i.e. you pour money in the top and some indefinable time later, guitar parts pop out the bottom; but I'm sure they get an awful lot of e-mails from people who basically just want to yak about guitars, which IS what "we" do exceedingly well. Very specific, organized questions have a better chance of fighting though the outer defenses, and if you want to change an order, by all means CALL, as you have a better chance of catching it early, before it becomes an "upcharged" thing. Which I can understand, they'd go nuts if every order was open-ended till the very last day!

I hope they understand that phone call cost much more $ from Asia / Hongkong  to USA .

and I think the average response time is fall far short up to the standard of online biz world. and keep the pay

customer not despondent is more Important for web 2.0 online reputation .

They may not realize where the questions/concerns/emails are coming from. It is difficult to tell from an email address.  Also, there's an implied trust. They try to present their business in the best way they can, and hope you'll be patient with your decision to do business with them. You place an order, and they fill it. Generally speaking, there's little to discuss.

When I place an order, I get an acknowledgement almost immediately. That's the last I hear from them until the thing ships. Could be 8 to 10 weeks if it's a custom part, much faster otherwise. They don't rub my tummy in the meantime. I get no progress reports or twitters telling me when the worker bees go to lunch or take potty breaks. If you ask where things are, you slow them down and make things worse.

Trust me, and a lot of people will back me up: I've done a lot of business with these guys. They know what they're doing and they do it well. You don't need to worry. Be patient, and let things wind out.

In the meantime, if you have concerns, just about everybody on this forum has done business with them and can answer questions. Remarkably detailed and professional questions. Lotta talent here. But, as has been mentioned, this isn't an "official" Warmoth site. We have no control over anything. If you want to change an order or something, this isn't the place to do it.

So... whaddaya worried about? You can tell us. We won't bite.

Well, maybe Stubhead will bite.

But, don't be afraid. He knows how to make atomic bombs out of paper clips and beeswax  :icon_biggrin:

Out of curiosity: if you placed the email last weekend, we had a national holiday that likely had Warmoth closed for 3 days instead of just Saturday & Sunday.
