Its been about six months, lets see what we can put together this time!

By popular request we are opening this one up to submissions from all forum members, including those who may have recorded tracks on non-Warmoth instruments. Its about the community after all, right?

What we currently need is someone willing to mix and host the album for download - anybody seen Rouse? - and of course your submissions. If you still need the first album, follow the linked image in my signature.

-------

Rules and Regs

1. Original material required.

2. Limiting profanity would be preferred. If you play death metal, rock on, send it and we'll love it.. just remember that this album will be available to all ages via this forum.

3. Post basic information here, including song title, band name if applicable, and what you're playing. We don't need how your 37 miniswitches are wired, but "Mahogany Strat, maple / Indian rosewood neck, [whatever] pickups, Floyd, ect," will be included with the album.

4. As soon as someone volunteers, we'll post an email address here for sending in song contributions. As before, I'll keep this updated constantly.

Contributors who have provided track information, in order of posting:

I was under (the perhaps mistaken) impression that we were printing CDs for these efforts.  Hence all the copyright/mechanical licensing discussion last time - not to mention the cover art.

If we don't intend to do that, I'm not as interested.

Printing the CDs involves money. Last time it worked rather well by most reviews by allowing people to download them and burn them at home, as it didn't really involve an investment from anyone.

FWIW, I think the UW soundtrack should feature W wood - that's what brought the 'community' together, even if wood probably doesn't influence tone that much on solidbody electric geetars. As I have tracks with 'Warmoth' guitars and others without I can provide either.

As to printing a CD, we live in a download world. You'd have to charge for a CD to cover costs and carriage and I can't imagine too many folks wanting to buy 'UW vol II', c.f. a free download.

cool, I missed the last one.
I think everybody on this board should be welcome to contribute, warmothguitar or not.

For the record, my guitar only has 31 pickup combinations. ;-)

speaking of board events and contests, what ever happened with that raffle build????

Yeah, I've been trying like CRAZY to not post about what's up with that, but last I heard (5 minutes ago), they had FINALLY started construction on the neck.  The body has been done for quite a while.  I have (I hope) all the parts waiting to slap it together.  Bass VI FOR THE GLORY.

We did this last time, and while the album came out great a few valued members didn't get to participate. I figure we could run this like the GTOM contest - Warmoth wood, Unofficial Warmoth member, Warmoth wood... - ect.

As always as this is a community project we can throw up a poll.
