Hah, Warmoth is out to get you Doug.  They're gonna hound you with pics of VWs until you quit your job and go be their CNC programmer  :guitaristgif:
Hey, now that's an idea. Hey Doug, you ready for the warm, sunny Seattle climate? Bring your neck plate CNC machine with you too!
That's funny I don't ever remember the sun shinning when I lived in Seattle. Right job, wrong location.

Here's a project that has been on my bench for some time now:

One of these days I'll get it finished.  Probably add a BBQ bucker and TallBoy.

(Well, technically that would be my wife's dining room table....)

That's pretty sweet Wyliee, nice flame. What's the neck?

warm? sunny?   :laughing7:

Puyallup is about 50 miles away from Seattle?

Yeah, balmy just like Brazil!
I'd go for some Brazilian weather right now. Although it was in the upper 60's today, it still gets cold at night... :sad1:

since warmoth is liscenced by fender, and there is a new EVH wolfgang guitar made by fender, same shape, warmoth can probably make them again within the next year, as that is when the fender version will be arriving in stores, early 09

It's probably not a blanket liscense to reproduce Fender's entire catalog.  It's probably not a yearly flat rate for the liscense either if I had to guess.  It's probably production based.  More Warmoth units sold, more money to Fender.

I've been curious if the liscense(s) extends to the non-Fender body shapes.  Even their Gibson body shape stuff has Fender neck pockets.  Do Fender and Gibson both get a cut on the same piece?  If so, Ouch!

One more thing.  I saw am Epiphone copy of a Telecaster, which I call a "Telephone."

I would think Doug would be all over that.  The headstock is well on it's way to pointy.

I almost bought this one on ebay - really made me think of Doug too..

The way I understand it, the license only covers the headstock shapes.. I don't think the body shapes are protected.anyway
