Two Bass arrivals this week

I have recv'd two bass bodies this week. The first is a white '54 P and is the main project,  :headbang1: It is my Geezer Butler tribute. I have all the parts sourced, and either hoarded or ordered. I was wondering how best to fit the 3 required pots onto the 2 hole plate, and settled on a stacked vol/vol and a single tone. However, I waited too long, and now I have to wait for the shipment to arrive. It also has the proper contoured heel neck screws...such a newbie mistake. I now will sit and look at ALMOST all the parts to build the thing.
The Roasted Maple neck/fretboard will arrive tomorrow.

The next is a showcase Dinky-J that I bought on a whim, due to the GAS pains caused by waiting for the White one to arrive. This one is a long term project, waiting to decide on a neck and pickups. Currently leaning toward a Bloodwood neck/fretboard, would look insane  :party07:
I really want to have raw wood necks, they are sooooo nice to play. I have no idea which pickups to select  :help: I have never really shopped for them, and I am overwhelmed with choices and contradictory reviews. It is not like I have the time, patience, or money to be swapping them out. I am after a growly mid tone that will cut through a wall of guitars :headbang:
