twisted neck?

Hi,
I have a problem with my Warmoth wizard neck. Compared to my previous guitars it needs a frequent readjustment.
To eliminate the buzz in the first fret, it was necessary (from the beginning) to put a Schaller shim (0.1mm) under the locking nut (jumbo frets). But unfortunately the buzz comes back on the high e in the first fret.
Despite perfect neck setting I had to heighten the locking nut first with a 0.2mm and now even with a 0.3mm shim. This prevents the buzz of the high e string but the distance of the lower strings
to the first frets increase in proportion so that the intonation and playability get bad.
Could this be an indication of a twisting neck?
I have already written the problem to sales@warmoth.com, but so far no response. Is there another service email?

The United States was on holiday until today, so likely they were backlogged with emails.  Expect a response tomorrow morning U.S. PDT, approximately eight hours from now  :)

Warmoth will get back to you shortly, they stand behind their necks. I wouldn't be surprised if one of the W guys responds here, too.

For fun and sleep deprivation, let me try to predict information Gregg will need..

What wood is the neck made out of? Is there a finish on it? What kind?

nope, it was not necessary because of the possibility of a very flat string action without weak notes and fret buzz.
but I think the altering string - fret spacing indicates not even a fret problem

I'm sorry, I don't completely understand.
You put shims under the nut, right? There could be a high fret, and if the frets are even, and the nut working properly, there should be no buzz.

I think the nut preparation works (by warmoth) independently of the height of the frets.
I assume that because a shim was needed with the 6100s. (most of the strings had a buzz at first fret.)
that only the high e string is affected could be an indicator tfor the fret level. in itself.
but as ive described the problem is that the wood works extremly and the distance of the high strings to the first frets gets smaller.
to compensate that additional shims are necessary. and im pretty shure that the fret ist not grown.
a rotation movement would be a logical explanation

Hey guys.... yes, I'm still getting unburied from the Holiday weekend....  just got caught up with all of the e-mails. lebowsky please check your e-mail.

I also put a 0.3 shim under my Floyd nut and was still having a similar problem with my neck fretting out when I bent the first or second strings at the 14th-15th frets. It also had a bit of buzz on my 3rd string open or at the first fret. A quick fret dressing took care of the problem, and I was able to use a thinner shim and lower the action a tad also.

You know what... if you are having buzzing on frets when the strings are not open....
The nut is not to blame

Well to begin from the beginning, is the neck pocket cut right for a floyd, and is it a recessed floyd or a non-recessed? If it's non-recessed, then the neck pocket angle is very important. Also is the bridge set to low, this could be an issue, especially at the first fret. And if the neck is twisting, you should be able to look down the neck from the nut and see quite evidently if there's any twisting......Just my .02.... :dontknow:

Compound radius necks may give the impression of twisting.
I have quite a few and none of mine give the illusion of twisting....might wanna check your glasses.... :glasses9:

Same for me, I seem to remember someone saying they thought that was how it appeared to them  :icon_thumright:

visually the neck seems to be straight. beginning of October I will appoint a guitar tech to check the guitar
