That's better in that it's at least recognizable for what it is, but it's still a helluva lot more than I'd put on a fretboard. But, that's just me. I even have a hard time accepting dots, so any more blingy than that and you've lost me.

I'm inclined to agree, but the turtle and or W is cool for what it's worth. But I'm more into bare fretboards anymore. I either want something totally custom, not from a generic list, blank or the Jackson style if it has to be dots. :dontknow:

I would take the turtle over the "W" any day of the week.

Anyone can have No Inlay, and the Turtle at least lives up to most of that as the original idea is to only place it at the 12th fret. 

Anyone can have dots, traps, or diamonds from many manufacturers for that matter. 

There'd be no mistaking the Turtle, and because of licensing, it may not even be an option for Fender style heads, but on the Warhead/Warmoth headstocks or any others, I think it'd be a nice lil touch of originality.
