Tung-oil going bad?

So I know that Tru-Oil apparently has a shelf life, but does Tung-Oil? I thought that I hard heard that it didn't but I figured I would make sure. I have had the can for less than a year (probably like 6 months) and it has been kept cool and out of the sun (in a drawer haha).

A luthier told me the other day that the Tung Oil I bought should last about 3 years.

Ok cool, hopefully it wasn't on that shelf for too long before I bought it!
