trying to figure out body wood

I bought a partscaster and it has a warmoth tele body with a matt black finish. I am trying to figure out from what I can see what type of wood it might be. I have attached pictures of the neck pickup route and neck pocket. Any idea what this might be? The body with the bridge and pickup and electronics weighs just over 5lbs, so the raw body weight will probably be somewhere between 4-4 1/2 lbs.

Unless the lighting is misrepresenting the color, I'm leaning toward Roasted Alder.

Definitely looks like alder. Maaaaaaybe a particularly plain piece of swamp ash.

I don't see any reason to think mahogany or roasted...  :dontknow:

I would say alder also. The weight is 4lbs 4 oz per the 4.4 written in the neck pocket.
