Heres a few shots of a cabronita im working on
First i applied a couple of coats of behlens sanding sealer
I then used timbermate grain filler, ebony on the front and back, neutral on the end grain.
Then more coats of sanding sealer which is when i started to take photos.
Next came rothko and frost translucent blonde.
You can see the first couple of coats were very light and now its starting to get to where i want it.
Despite the grain filler and sanding sealer i still missed a few spots on the back which i couldnt see until the paint was applied.
I also had a small run on the front where my finger interfered with the spray, some light sanding sorted that out.
The plan is to get a 24.75" scale roasted maple neck and tv jones powertron and powertron plus pups. The controls will be a volume control for each pickup only. Nice and simple!
I also have a mark rutters half bridge i plan to use
