Well with some bits and pieces lying around that I had, then by adding …….
Some rather nice woods and a mix of pickups, plus mixing up Chrome and Black hardware.
You could say that I'm very very happy with this build.
This neck is just Yummie !!  :toothy10:
Very nice indeed, she's a beauty to play.  :guitarplayer2:

Pups used, all sound different to anything else I have …. thats a good thing.  :icon_thumright:
Defiantly has it's own sound to it.

I'm usually of the opinion that a busy neck deserves a plain looking body.
As too, with a busy looking body, needs a less subtle neck / fretboard. (that's just me of-cause)
Kind-of like my Alpine White Strat with that busy neck on it.

OK … so I bent my own rules with this one.  :icon_biggrin:

Wait, you are sorry for all the pics??  Every build should have this many awesome pics!!!!  Love everything except the chrome strat switch tip.  That yellow Korina and Bocote look like they compliment each other nicely.

How do you like the Quarter Pounder?  I was pondering that one, but got a Lil 59 instead.

Went with a Strat switch Tip as the Tele one's look to big against the V & T knobs I have.
Just didn't look right.  :tard:
Least that's a simple thing to change, to black may-be.  :dontknow:

Got a SD Q/Pounder in the neck on my other Tele with a P-Rails and have the Lil '59 in the neck on one of my strats.

Was going for a Tele / typical Strat sound mix.
:icon_scratch:  ...... Well really didn't know what I was going for  :laughing7:

I'm liking the sound that I'm getting, is different to anything else I have.
:dontknow:  Must be the SD Q / Pounder Tele bridge pup. It's got plenty of balls.
But to me it seems a bit thin sounding. (Still in early days with this one thou)
Not owning or having a true Tele sounding guitar before, I suppose it's that tele sound in the bridge pup that I'm hearing.
Then paired with the Duckbucker, I'm getting that real strat quack. Not like Dimarzios Area's are thou.
Still playing around with pup height's etc to just find the sweet spot.
The Scream'in Demon I have in another strat in the middle. So I knew how that sounded.

So I suppose it's definitely got that Tele sound crossed with a typical quack strat sound.
The warmer more open sounds are from the Scream'in Demon.
Very underrated pickup that one.

:hello2: :hello2: :hello2:
Great, great, great...
Very nice finish and combination of woods.  I love everything about it :icon_thumright:
:kewlpics:

Very nice! love it!

And if a tele bridge PU sounds thin, try backing the tone down a bit - but not too much - and you might find some magic.

That is simply awesome Updown! The body looks like it's dipped in honey and that neck is goooorgeous!!  "Excotic Custom" I reckon!!! :icon_thumright: :icon_thumright: :icon_thumright: :eek:ccasion14:

I have got to check out some of those mini-humbuckers.  :guitarplayer2:

Hey .. many thanks all  :icon_thumright:

Oh boy is this one a beauty to play, the sounds I'm getting are great ...... love it  :headbang1:
Really nice choice of puppies I've used.

I don't know if it's the wood combo's....
Chambered Black Korina ... body
Bocote / Ziricote ... neck
Or
The choice of SD pup's I've used, but this thing sings & sings, and the sustain --- sustain --- sustain --- sustain --- sustain --- sustain     Wow
Got a strong feeling it's got something to do with the neck / body  :dontknow:
Why ?
Because I tested / compared the sustain from one pickup, the Screamin Demon (N) on this, to a Solid Alder Strat
with a Maple / Ziricote neck, which has a Screamin Demon in the (M)
That's the closest compare test I could do. (pup and fretboard)  :toothy11:

On the showcase description when I bought the neck, it said .... ''This combination has to be played to believed'' !

Yep  :icon_thumright:  ..... I'll go along with that !!
Can see this one being one of my many Warmoth favorite's    :guitarplayer2:

Should see the look when people see it in the flesh .....  priceless  :laughing7:

I really love this guitar, Big, Bad and Mean looking....a Beautifull exotic weapon.  :icon_thumright:
