Well, this day can just go straight to Hades.

Goddammit.

Oh wow, that's just a huge loss.  Posting my favorite video of his.

Not a good day, but certainly one that will be remembered.

RIP, Tom. Ya done a good job.

Well, the story changes.  Hospitalized after having been found in full cardiac arrest, life support measures withdrawn - but not notification of death.

You gotta love the mainstream media and the 24 hour news cycle. They're so desperate to have something to say that they'll say anything, regardless of its veracity.

As I understand, it's been pronounced.  Today has sucked since 1:30 AM EDT.  Tom was a FL boy, and one of the first concerts I went to.  Didn't have to bum a ride, the venue I rode my bike to.

It was mid July as I recall. 1980.  He played at the Jai Alai Fronton a bit from me.

Yep. Just looked it up. Wed July 16th 1980

My 21st birthday. The IBM PC hadn't been introduced yet, Microsoft was just a start-up, so I was still programming in assembly language on an Altair 8800...

Yip, kinda shocked when I heard all the back and forth...RIP Tom...My favorite song is "I won't back down" which was also covered by a band from Dallas, Edgewater in the late 90's...

One of the best shows I've been to. He'll be missed for sure.

One of the artists I would put on repeat and shuffle and not be getting sick and tired of after two or three hours. Yeah, he will be missed.
