TOM bridge

Other than the little allen screws that hold the bridge to the studs, are there any significant quality differences between the Gotoh and the Tone Pros TOM bridges?  I'm going to build a guitar for my brother-in-law for his birthday and was going to do a recessed TOM on a Strat body.

Thanks.

I don't think there are any other differences. I have an ES335 and was totally unimpressed with the stock Gibson bridge. Sharp edge, sloppy saddles, and offset string grooves. I replaced it with a Gotoh piece and the quality is great - much nicer than the Gibson bridge. I have a Tonepros bridge on my Warmoth LPS but if I ever want a locking TOM again I'll probably buy a Gotoh and drill and tap it for set screws.

AFAIK the TonePros bridge is made by Gotoh and is identical apart from the locking screws.

That's my understanding as well. Still a very good part, as far as TOMs go. Pricing is all over the map, though, so one has to be careful.
